This time lets make a pact to get all women voting and to make women's real issues matter. We have gone without the things we need for far far too long. No more playing ball, it's time to buy the team!Tamar Bouchardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16966364009977485595noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8906016.post-1099704105981609452004-11-05T20:21:00.000-05:002004-11-05T20:21:00.000-05:00This is my first blog too, but think about this on...This is my first blog too, but think about this one!

http://oprah2008.blogspot.com/Tamar Bouchardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16966364009977485595noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8906016.post-1099631233920875632004-11-05T00:07:00.000-05:002004-11-05T00:07:00.000-05:00Hmmm...Hillary in 2008? Both Bill and Hillary are career politicians. What we need most desperately now are people who are NOT career politicians. People like Dean and Barack Obama who have lived a life outside of politics, and who understand the very real power of truth and authenticity
when they are put forth with a sense of conviction.

I think Dean's energies would be wasted as Party Chair...on a level with taking Smarty Jones and appointing him Lead Plow Mule. I'd rather Dean
ran for Senator, VP, or President where he can
*really* make a difference.

Oh - and if you think the country is polarized now, just ~try~ running Hillary for something outside of NY State and watch the fur fly. Most Progressives I know don't like or trust her, and the Conservatives I know hate her with the heat of ten thousand suns. Not, IMO, what anyone would call a winning proposition for the 2008 election.Pat McIntoshhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15326497405322869175noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8906016.post-1099544400591878042004-11-04T00:00:00.000-05:002004-11-04T00:00:00.000-05:00can dean create a public personna that is electabl...can dean create a public personna that is electable in 2008, or has he been caricaturized too badly by the media? i'm afraid i'm thinking it might be the latter -- but then again, nixon was "rehabilitated." who knows.

right now, i'm leaning heavily towards hillary. i think she would stand up for what we believe in, and i think she would rally so many people who might still believe it's not worth trying.

as for dean, the suggestion in daily kos seems perfect for now: replacing terry mcauliffe as dnc chair. mcauliffe has failed utterly and most go.t.a.https://www.blogger.com/profile/07475858074492547248noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8906016.post-1099538641212407312004-11-03T22:24:00.000-05:002004-11-03T22:24:00.000-05:00Shane, you are recalling my remarks out of context...Shane, you are recalling my remarks out of context. The *full context* was that I wanted Bush to know the worry that comes from having a child in the line of duty...to *feel the pain* of those who have LOST a child in the line of duty.

As a parent I would never wish actual death on anyone's child.
